JOB TITLE: Operations Supervisor -CTRS

REPORTING TO: Operations Manager –Baku, Azerbaijan

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION:

The Operations Supervisor/ Coordinator TRS will be responsible for the day to day running activates in Operations department. A fundamental requirement is the company operations are run efficiently and professionally and that all activities are performed safely, accurately, to a high standard and in accordance with customer requirements and appropriate policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Our operations involve the provision of high quality Tubular Running Services and sometimes-logistical services to the Oil and Gas Industry, from the point of purchase to delivery in the field, while maximizing the profitability and productivity of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure all staff directly reporting to you have all the training and information to perform their duties in a safe manner and in accordance with any legislative requirements and with company procedures and policies.
2. Manage your staff effectively and ensure they are issued with up to date Position Descriptions in this same format.
3. Supervise Inventories and record all movements in or out in accordance with Company Procedures and Policies and ensure the Area Manager is kept well informed at all times.
4. Develop and maintain excellent customer relations and take a proactive approach in ensuring the customer is updated with all relevant information in a professional and timely manner.
5. Manage all Logistical and supplier operational requirements for the business in line with all Company Procedures and Policies and record all information and ensure the Group is kept informed of all aspects. Special attention needs to be made that Client personnel are updated with relevant information for any items they have on order.
6. Supervise or co-ordinate inventory reviews, audits and stock-takes (as applicable)
7. Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with relevant company and Industry policies, procedures and legislative requirements to ensure safety to staff, the community and the environment.
8. Develop and maintain a highly professional and motivated team approach to ensure that all aspects of the Groups operations work closely together and are aligned with common goals.

9. Ensure the routine briefing and debriefing requirements of staff involved is being conducted.
10.Demonstrate strong safety leadership.
11.Conduct regular checks and inspections of workplace equipment and facilities under your control, to ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness, maintenance, housekeeping, and hazard identification and rectification are maintained.
12.Actively support, implement and participate in the company Risk Management Program.
13. Plan and implement operational and other necessary change initiatives to improve Business Unit Profitability, productivity or satisfy legislative and the company requirements in conjunction with the Area Manager.
14. Liase with clients and plan for their requirements to ensure they are achieved in a professional manner. Record information and supply the Area Manager with anticipated client needs.
15.Develop a proactive and continual improvement process with the Group by identifying all service and cost leverage opportunities that improve service/value for company’s expectation. Ensure effective implementation of these strategies respecting both the needs of the company and divisional capability to delivery at acceptable margins.
16. Initiate and lead Continuous Improvement Teams in formulating recommendations for improvements to work processes.
17. Ensure that all instances of injury, service failure or loss or damage of goods are investigated and develop and instigate remedial action to prevent recurrence.
18. Eliminate down time due to accident, injury or work related illness by ensuring the implementation and maintenance of safe working practices and procedures.
19.Keep the Operations Manager well informed at all times and be prepared to assume additional duties.
20.Compliance to the company Business Improvement Programme Quality, Risk and Human Resource Reference Manuals, Workplace Standards and Codes of Practices for Occupational Health & Safety, Operational Procedures and any other appropriate company policies and procedures that may be directed or amended from time to time.
21.Other duties as assigned.

CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETANCIES AND BEHAVIOURS:

• Must have CTRS equipment work experience and best practices
• Educated to University level would be preferred
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Understanding of Oilfield products.
• Strong understanding of Logistics and Inventory Control.
• Strong understanding of Quality Practices.
• Strong computer skills with literacy in Word for Windows, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Skills in and ability to prepare, with assistance, professional proposals
• Sound business and report writing skills.
• Proven problem solving ability with a solutions orientation matched with an ability to solve operational problems creatively.
• Ability to see the “Big Picture” and quickly reach an understanding of company’s business and the Groups requirements.
• Effective time management, organizational and self-discipline skills.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Strong service orientation and related skills.
• Ability to determine Human resource requirements and equipment to meet scheduled workloads to minimize overhead costs
• Good understanding of Integrated Management Systems and Continuous Improvement concepts.
