Job Title: Technical Assurance Manager

Key accountabilities 

• Technical Assurance Manager for a range of technology systems such as internal corporate and external cloud-based applications and Results Distribution Systems (including the Baku2015 Games-time website and mobile applications).
• Create and manage assurance and test plans for each system, identifying deliverables and ensuring delivery.
• Support definition of non-functional requirements for availability and capacity.
• Agree and define technical standards for integration within the BEGOC technical architecture.
• Plan, co-ordinate and support testing to validate implemented solutions and that non-functional requirements are met.
• Provide quality assurance for installation and configuration activities carried out by internal teams and third-parties.
• Carry out risk assessment of supplier solutions and ensure key risks are identified and mitigated.
• Establish strong collaborative working relationships with third-party suppliers in order to fulfil the remit.
• Drive the establishment of detailed operational processes and procedures, for use in monitoring and maintaining operation of the systems and for dealing with incidents or changes arising.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required 

• Experience developing and documenting test strategies, standards and procedures.
• Experience managing testing activities including performance, load, integration and end-to-end testing involving multiple suppliers.
• Experience with performance and load tools, cloud-based testing, and messaging middleware.
• Broad knowledge of the design, implementation and operation of technology service in mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of wide range of technologies including in areas such as websites and web applications, mobile apps, web services, SOA, enterprise messaging systems, SaaS, EAI, storage solutions, HA & DR, performance and load testing  
• Experience of technology delivery within a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work remotely with technical teams spread across different time zones.
• Excellent organisational skills to monitor progress of deliverables and achieve closure of key technical issues.
• Previous Games experience an advantage
