Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure physical and virtual servers running Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Set up and maintain Python runtime environments on Linux (e.g., Python virtual environments, Conda, system-wide packages).
  • Administer and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems such as Active Directory, email platforms, and internal tools.
  • Support IT-related projects, system upgrades, and initiatives to improve infrastructure and workflows.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of IT assets, system upgrades, and support documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), internet connectivity, and server performance to ensure optimal uptime.
  • Ensure proper implementation of regular data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Enforce IT security protocols and contribute to compliance with internal policies and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for system maintenance, procurement, and technical issue resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
  • Provide timely technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues (in person and remotely).
  • Ensure availability for critical system monitoring, incident response, and escalation handling as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role.
  • Understanding of Python environment management, including pip, venv, virtualenv, conda, and system-level deployment.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Solid understanding of desktop/laptop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common office software.
  • Strong working knowledge of both Linux and Windows Server platforms.
  • Experience with IT equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with network technologies (TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi).
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange or cloud-based email systems, and user management.
  • Experience with data backup solutions, restore procedures, and business continuity planning.
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and tools (antivirus, access control, encryption).
