Training and Competency Officer
Purpose of the role:
To deliver training and assessment both onshore and offshore and to support the training function in ensuring training and competency compliance across the assets / regions by conducting training and compliance audits as required.
Main Activities:
• Lead trainer for the subject’s area of expertise.
• Responsibility for full TNA for subject area across the assets/regions.
• Liaise, where necessary, with all relevant external bodies and training department to ensure the programmes are accredited and aligned with industry standards, communication requirements to training and competency management as required.
• Ensure that all tracking and reporting process is adhered to and self-audited for compliance.
• Respond to specific training requests in liaison with Training and Competency Management / Coordinators
• Support the induction and recruitment process where required.
• Attend training and competency, HSEQ, Staff and management meetings as required.
• Carry out competency assessments when required
• Carry out training administration duties where required, in addition to observation and assessment of site trainer delivery.
• Develop trade tests, training materials, assessments and any relevant training documentation.
Requirements
• Good team player with proactive approach and attention to detail.
• 2-3 years experience in similar role
• Ability to work under deadlines and schedule pressures.
• Strong Organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High performance and a strong team player willing to work with clients, field staff.
• Commitment to company values, policies and procedures and safety program
