JOB TITLE: Customer Service Rep - Gift Wrapping
REPORTS TO: Supervisor –Gift wrapping
DEPARTMENT: Operations
SPECIAL FACTORS:
Daily Sales Since majority of the products make excellent gift items, it is the customer care policy to gift wrap the purchases free of cost to the customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Discuses the gift wrapping requirements with customers, understands their preferred style or colour and gift wraps items bought from the company showroom, using the prescribed materials.
2. Orders materials required for gift wrapping –paper, ribbons, scissors and gift boxes, cards well in advance so that there is no shortage in customer service counter.
3. Learns new techniques of gift wrapping.
4. Answers the telephone and substitutes for the telephone operator in his/her absence.
5. Make tissue –flowers for scent testing.
6. Maintains the coupons books during any promotion and hands out gift coupons to customers.
7. Helps customers in filling coupons during any corporate marketing promotion.
8. Performs any other miscellaneous job related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years experience as a Gift Wrapper
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of POS
Computer literate
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Technical:
Artistic and Creative skills and experience in gift wrapping.
Conceptual:
Ability to keep up with trends and learn new techniques of gift wrapping.
Interpersonal:
Courteous demeanour and telephone manners.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers and sales staff.
Ability to get along with customers and maintain a cheerful atmosphere.
Communication:
Able to speak, read and write English
Ability to receive and carry out verbal and written instructions accurately
Transactional:
Good organizing skills
Able to work independently, pays attention to details, self-motivated, initiative driven.
Clean and neat and good in housekeeping.
