DEPARTMENT: CASPIAN CENTER FOR ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT(CCEE)

POSITION: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

POSITION SUMMARY

Caspian Center for Energy and Environment (CCEE) of ADA University is looking for Executive Director to head its administrative, operational and financial aspects.
CCEE is a core institution of ADA University providing policy relevant and academic research, teaching and training, as well as variety of outreach activities in the sphere of energy and environment in the wider Caspian region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the senior CCEE colleagues and senior ADA leadership to develop projects, identify funding opportunities, write proposals, and manage high-impact dissemination strategies;
• Manage administrative, operational and financial aspects of the CCEE;
• Lead engagement with local and foreign academic, governmental and corporate institutions (including donors) for joint events, fundraising and other activities;
• Deepen and refine all aspects of communications from online presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger research institution;
• Delegate activities, and provide guidance, to junior staff-persons of CCEE;
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree with at least 10 years of senior management experience;
• Strong organizational and management skills;
• Ability to manage a number of varied and complex tasks, resilient attitude towards conflicting priorities and challenges;
• Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and cultures;
• Demonstrated experience and awareness of the energy industry;
• Fluency in Azeri, English and Russian;
• Diplomatic communication, presentation and negotiation skills suited for a wide variety of people at high level both inside and outside the organization.
