AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Senior Project Engineer (National).

The successful candidates should have:

• 10+ yrs experience in Project Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• To manage the project engineering and technical aspects of projects to ensure timely completion of project work and deliverables with defined levels of quality to support the overall project safety, quality, cost & schedule targets.
• Espouses project vision, objectives, goals, performance and essential behaviours
• Promotes and practices, ethical behaviour as per Conflict of Interest Policy
• Ensure all safety, quality, cost & schedule aspects of a given project are met
• Work with Engineering Manager and Quality Manager to ensure technical integrity and compliance with codes & standards.
• Ensure that the project is fully resourced to meet the project schedule
• Promote high standard of safety culture throughout the project life to ensure all safety targets are achieved.
• Promote the nationalisation programme and the development of local project engineers within his/her responsibility.
• Ownership of a project throughout its lifecycle managing each phase with total integrity until commercial close out is complete.
• Deputises for the Delivery Lead
• Responsible for managing a project throughout its life (from cradle to grave)
• Ensures cost reports are timely and accurate
• Interfaces with the design team in production of engineering deliverables.
• Ensures procured items are procured to the latest BP specs & ETP’s.
• Responsible for liaising with the BP Operations
• Ensure compliance with the Small Projects Common Process (SPcp)
• Ensure compliance with the QMS
• Manage and Implement changes via the PCR process
• Ensure time writing codes and WBS’s are available to the engineering disciplines
• Monitor progress of design deliverables
• Approve/challenge Discipline CTR’s
• Manage all engineering activities associated within each phase ie; design, development, materials, fabrications, contracts, implementation, commissioning and handover; including liaison with other Project Engineers in line with established asset priorities.
• Provide input to the project KPI report
• Perform commercial reviews
• Challenge and improve working practices and Procedures
• Manage follow on engineering i.e. Technical Queries (TQ’s) and Engineering Queries (EQ’s), PCR’s.  Planned Maintenance Routines (PMR), Weight Control and Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) aspects are completed and recorded.
• Complete Commercial/Technical Close-Out
• Publicise Engineering achievements
• Hold lessons learned review and record lessons (positive & negative)
