Introduction:

SOCAR Gas Operating Company is a subsidiary of State Oil Company or the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
SOCAR Gas Operating Company will operate an entity selling gas from Shah Deniz field on behalf of its partners.
SOCAR Gas Operating Company is looking for talented and committed professional for this position.

Key accountabilities:

To supervise and handle all related tasks during gas sales system and ERP development by external IT companies (development, testing, training and maintenance)
To develop and manage of all IT infrastructure systems and areas
To plan, develop and be responsible for implementation of the approved ICT budget
Providing user training, support, advice and feedback, including management of help desk service
Testing and modifying systems to ensure that that they operate reliably

Required skills/experience

Higher education (information technology or similar field)
Experience in participation and supervision of the development of new software system by an external IT company
Work experience in building / developing of a company's IT infrastructure
Familiar with ITIL or other common standards for IT service delivery
IT qualified (Microsoft certified, CISCO certified or equivalent)
Knowledge of/past experience with oil and gas business (specifically gas sales and EU EDIG@S standards) would be an advantage.
Proficiency in English and Azerbaijani
