Position: HSE Environmental Coordinator
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Higher
Working Experience: Must have at least 3 years experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Languages: English (fluent), Azerbaijani (fluent), Russian (preferable)
Other Skills/Certificates Required:
• Knowledge of techniques and methodologies for environmental impact analysis, identification and evaluation.
• Knowledge of environmental impact control measures (for air, ground, water, waste, energy).
• Knowledge of local Environmental legislation and main technical rules.
• Capability to analyse HSE client requirements and to plan the need actions.
• Experience in delivering HSE training courses. Capability to prepare and conduct induction and HSE training courses.
• Knowledge of investigation techniques and of data analysis and reporting of HSE events.
• Knowledge of audit techniques and capability to conduct HSE / safety / environmental inspections in order to supervise the implementation of specific procedures on site.
• Knowledge of main important international standards on HSE management system (e.g. ISO
• 14001 OHSAS 18001).
• Knowledge of offshore construction and installation works.
• Capability on subcontractor/supplier management and control.
• Knowledge of local law and internal rules for managing waste, main principle of storage, reuse, reduce, disposal.
• Good analytical skills.
• To be proactive and assertive, to act autonomously and to make contributions towards continuous improvement.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the environmental aspects/impact of Saipem activities and identify proper mitigation measures.
• Support and guide the development and improvement of the environmental system.
• Regularly review the Environmental Aspects Register for changes in aspects or impacts and adapt the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and associated Plans and Procedures where necessary.
• Keep the project EMP and related plans (Waste Management Plan, Oil Spill Response Plan, etc.) current.
• Conduct regular environmental audits / inspections in order to monitor the implementation of the EMP and associated Plans and Procedures and report findings to Project HSE Coordinator.
• Identify the Environmental Aspects and assess the Environmental Impacts, maintain the pertaining register.
• Ensure Site Managers are aware of their respective duties arising out of the EMP and associated Procedures.
• Ensure Site Managers have assigned local Environmental Waste Management (EWM) Coordinators for environmental and waste management (EWM) duties.
• Ensure EWM Coordinators regularly provide documents and reports as required under the Environmental Management Plan.
• Regularly coordinate with local EWM Coordinators on environmental and waste matters.
• Provide training to relevant personnel on all matters regarding EMP and associated Procedures.
• Ensure all EMP reporting is included in Assurance cycle.
• Conduct 3 monthly Environmental and Socio-economic Issues Identification (ENVIID) sessions.
