Senior Manager Competition and Competition Training Venues

Purpose

Coordinate the planning and delivery of Medical and Antidoping services in all competition and competition training venues to all client groups.

Key accountabilities
 
• Manage three venue medical and antidoping  cluster managers on a day to day basis
• Support the Venue Cluster Managers identify and recruit venue medical and antidoping managers
• Develop policies and procedures for Medical and Antidoping Services in competition and competition training venues.
• In conjunction with clinical experts identify the clinical skills, training and experience required for the different (volunteer) teams (spectator  and athlete) in competition and competition training venues in accordance with local regulation and European Federation Sport rules and regulations
• Develop the training programs for the teams in conjunction with clinical experts
• With the rest of the Medical and Antidoping team develop the lists for medical equipment, consumables and pharmaceutical products working with clinical experts
• Report to the Head of Medical and Antidoping regularly keeping them informed of developments and issues.
• Assist in planning across the function
• Ensure and build cross functional relationships and integration with all functional areas in the organising committee ad with external partners.
• At Games time coordinate medical and antidoping services across all competition and competition training venues reporting to the Head of Medical and Antidoping or their deputy.
• Such duties that are assigned to you from time to time by the Head of Medical and Antidoping

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
 
• Previous multisport international competition venue medical management experience - Essential
• Clinical qualification or equivalent  (e.g. Nursing, Medical, Paramedic, Physiotherapy) - Essential
• Experience of managing a large multidisciplinary medical workforce at an international multisport event - Essential
• Experience in running a medical multi-disciplinary service – Essential
• Ability to use a range of computer systems (e.g. Word , Excel, Power point) – Essential
• Experience of training medical multidisciplinary teams

Experience of delivering an antidoping programme - desirable
