Content Writer

Purpose

Assist in delivering all printed or digital publications and presentations, generated by the Sports Department (Chef de Mission Dossier, Chef de Mission Manual, Athlete guides, technical manuals…), meeting the requirements of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) and European Federations (EFs) and ensuring that publications comply with the standards and criteria established by BEGOC

Key accountabilities

• Write and edit content for all sport publications (hard copy and / or digital), including the production of Sport Technical Manuals, Technical Official Guides and Team Official Guides, as well as overviews and competition forms for all disciplines of the European Games, progress reports, technical requirements, manuals other areas of sports, etc.
• Assist in the process of compilation, review, preparation and execution of the final edition of printed content and / or digital sport publications
• Coordinate the relationship with other functional areas of BEGOC reviewing and editing any sport related content of these publications, managing deadlines and ensuring the standardization of information.
• Assist in the process of editing and approving content of all official publications of the Sport Department including approvals and feedback from the EF and EOC..
• Assist in the process of approving content from other functional areas of BEGOC related to Sports and used in print / digital, promotional pieces, commercials, presentations, among others.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

• Fluent in English - Excellent written and verbal communication
• MS Office package (including advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Adobe CS Package (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Keynotes (for presentations on Mac)

• Previous experience and background in a publishing environment (e.g., editorial, magazines, publications)
