JOB SUMMARY

Performing analysis and identifying trends from a total hotel perspective is an important role of Revenue Management. This role is the responsibility of the Revenue Analyst. Responsibilities include understanding total hotel historical demand, performance and pace information to assist in forecasting future demand and property performance and formulating recommendations.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support and develop team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Quality Assurance / Quality Improvement

Revenue Analysis

• Analyze and interpret data such as demand, seasonality, pace information, property revenue performance, segmentation, market performance, displacement, and customer buying habits and behavior. 
• Formulate pricing, restrictions and authorizations, optimal mix, and sales and positioning strategies for all customer segments and sub-segments.
• Provide recommendations along with all of the information and data necessary to develop property business plans, marketing communication plans, and budgets.
• Support the annual goal setting process.
• Critique the results of all pricing, strategy decisions, and marketing / business plan initiatives, goals and strategies, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement in the future.
• Ensure competitive assessments are done periodically and pricing and inventory actions are taken based on updated positioning.
• Complete monthly revenue projections and communicate projections and need dates.
• On the books report and when applicable other related reports to be pulled from Revenue Management tools / PMS  and distributed
• Training energizer ( 2 trainings per month)
• Premium room tracking/ Group pace report
• Package and promotion tracking
• MRDW reports to be printed/reviewed Weekly for the previous month and presented at SSM
• Shop Marriott.com and EChannels to ensure that room descriptions, rates and photography is up to date
• Update daily star Marketshare figures and review last night’s performance against the competitor set and evaluate
• Check queues 45,  37, 12 and 13
• Prepare all required documents/reports for Sales Strategy/Revenue Meeting. Information must be studied and topics listed on what will be covered during the meeting (to make decisions, future strategies of the hotel)
• Group changes and new bookings should be reviewed and where applicable to be added to the On the Books report daily.
• Update group sales allowance and target rates as necessary
• Audit room descriptions in MarRFP; create rate codes in HPP, Opera, Oxi and ensure that those are up to date, make changes/updates if necessary
• Good Data Standards Print and review the Market Segment report in Opera to ensure that the market segments are being accurately tracked

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; no related work experience is required
