Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice to the management and departments on various legal issues, including regulatory compliance, contracts, and disputes;
• Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the university's interests are protected;
• Keep abreast of changes in legislation and advise management on potential impacts.
• Drafts and reviews employment contracts;
• Draft and review contracts within UFAZ to be executed with local providers;
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks;
• Participate in the preparation of internal corporate acts, orders, instructions, rules and procedures, regulations, their legal expertise;
• Prepares responses to letters, applications and complaints on legal issues in a timely manner;
• Represents organization in front of state bodies in legal issues;
• Prepares and registers of commercial and non-commercial legal entities.

Requirements:  

• Master's degree in law;
• Knowledge of fluent Azerbaijani and English;
• 3 years of proven working experience as a lawyer in state enterprise, demonstrating strong analytical skills in interpreting legal matters and formulating strategic solutions;
• Strong knowledge of Azerbaijani law and legal systems;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures, with a track record of successful negotiation and resolution of legal issues;
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders;
• Strong problem-solving abilities to analyse complex legal issues and develop innovative solutions;
• Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborate with colleagues from various departments, and contribute to collective decision-making processes;
• Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
• Advanced MS Office knowledge.
