JOB TITLE:   Construction Inspector for Istiglal Rig Upgrade Project

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIECE:

• Construction Inspector’s duties will involve reviewing all structural and piping drawing during the Engineering Phase. 
• Visits the rig to verify modifications.
• Liaises with Project Manager and engineering team to finalize drawings.
• Inspector’s duties will be to monitor all prefabrication work being carried out at shipyard or other vendor’s facilities. 
• Perform physical measurement checks, QA, QC checks on materials, fabrications and welder’s performance checks.
• Witness any pressure tests performed at said facilities and interprets any X-ray results on behalf of CDC.
• Continues to monitor latest drawing issued from CSC / KFB Engineering.   

• Inspector’s duties during Pre-Shipyard Phase will be to monitor all prefabrication work being carried out at shipyard or other vendor’s facilities. 
• Perform physical measurement checks, QA, QC checks on materials, fabrications and welder’s performance checks.
• Witnesses any pressure tests performed at said facilities and interprets any X-ray results on behalf of CDC. 
• Continues to monitor latest drawing issued from CSC / KFB Engineering. 
• During the Pre-Shipyard Phase, the Inspector will be based at the shipyard .
• Be present during all major installation projects to witness correct fitting and alignment.
• Be authorized to sign off on installations to allow continuous progress. 
• Liaises with shipyard to provide men and material to ensure CD ‘s 5 yearly plan goes ahead smoothly.
• Continues to monitor Quality Control and testing of projects as required.  
• Monitors the safety performance of CDC and Shipyard personnel during the length of the shipyard stay.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Candidate shall have a shipbuilding/ construction apprentiship with 5 or more years working on Offshore rigs.
• Experience on Upgrade / New build  projects is essential  
• Candidate should be able to read and understand  both Equipment and engineering drawings. 
• Candidate should be familiar with API, ASME and Class society rules and Codes 

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:

MS Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Autocad

English, Azerbaijani, Russian
