Commercial Officer

Baku Shipyard LLC is looking for Commercial Officer.

Key responsibilities:

 Preparation and timely submission of comprehensive quotation according to technical specification requirement;
 Preparation and timely submission of repair invoices to Owners according to the work carried out;
 Assists project manager in discussion, negotiation and close out invoices with owners, following up of ongoing work and updating of price control;
 Maintain proper order of estimating and invoicing filing;
 Keeping in close contact with Owners and Production alike for updates on repairs work;
 Close follow up on estimated manhours and actual manhours. Discuss with relevant trade supervisors and revise and/or control the manhours;
 Negotiate with vendors for equipment purchases related to shipbuilding, ship repair a conversion projects, prepare sales agreements and follow up equipment deliveries with the vendors;
 Prepare work schedule, based on Owner’s specification, if required.

Key requirements:

 A bachelor or master degree in Technical/Engineering area with 3+ years relevant experience (experience in marine industry is an added advantage);
 Ability to communicate and express information in written and oral form in English and Azeri;
 Familiar with costs of steel works, piping, electrical, painting, scaffolding, HVAC;
 Knowledge of Classification rules of ABS, BV, DNV and RMRS is an added advantage;
 Able to work independently and with a team;
 Strong communication and negotiation skills, high level of responsibility;
 Good computer skills.
