Sub‐contract Officer

Baku Shipyard LLC is looking for Sub‐contract Officer.

Key responsibilities:

 Undertake sub‐contract packages and provide support to the project team;
 Source and maintain a list of reliable sub‐contractors for shipbuilding and ship repair works;
 Source for prices quotes from sub‐contractors;
 Negotiate with sub‐contractors and prepare contracts or work orders;
 Assessment of sub‐contractorsʹ invoices and propose settlement;
 Coordinate with relevant departments to obtain information for accurate quotations and billings;
 Perform Subcontract Management from pre‐contract through to post contract;
 Responsible for writing, coordinating and managing sub‐contractor agreements.

Key requirements:

 A bachelor or master degree in Commercial or Engineering area with min 3 years of experience in liaising with sub‐contractors;
 Familiar with requirements in steel works, piping, electrical, painting, scaffolding, HVAC;
 Familiar with Classification rules of ABS, BV, DNV and RMRS is an added advantage;
 Strong communication and negotiation skills, high level of responsibility;
 Strong teamwork and able to integrate and contribute within a team environment;
 Good computer skills;
 Ability to communicate and express information in written and oral form in English and Azeri.
