MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Main Role and Purpose:

 To provide discipline Mechanical Engineering support to Company’s projects;
 To ensure optimal courses of action pursued with the respect to Mechanical Engineering matters;
 To carry out technical tasks.
 The successful candidate will work closely with project engineering, procurement and construction to ensure fit for purpose engineering delivery.

Accountabilities:

 Oversee and ensure a comprehensive filing system and database for each and all projects is set up and maintained as per company procedure to include customer requirements, drawings, technical specifications and any other documentation required or produced in the fulfillment of a project;
 Ensure that Engineering and Technical Standard’s are maintained to the highest levels and the work is accomplished consistent with Customer’s requirements;
 In conjunction with the Commercial Manager and other Management develop budgets for an assigned unit including operating requirements, equipment and material purchases and ensure that actual expenses are consistent with the approved budget;
 Select, develop and motivate subordinate staff to ensure that resources are available to provide quality services and on-time performance for the Customer;
 Represent the Engineering Department in meetings with the client, answering questions and resolving complaints;
 Develop conceptual designs to suite a clients requirements, Review, verify and validate the final design package and development of machinery, products, and processes;
 Oversee and ensure that the correct document packages are compiled and submitted to the clients requirements;
 Liaise with manufacturers and consultants in relation to new concepts and innovations;
 Examine and interpret Customers' plans or arrange the drawing of plans to meet engineering and design regulations;
 Prepare, develop and submit tender documentations, calculate quantities of material required for projects and in conjunction with the Commercial and Procurement Managers order these from suppliers;
 Oversee the planning and timely execution of projects;
 Prepare and submit project development reports to the Customer;
 Conduct Safety Inspections, Accident Investigation and Reporting in conjunction with the HSE Department as required;

Competencies Required:

 Relevant engineering degree from reputable institute;
 At least 5 years relevant experience as practicing professional engineer / Process Engineering status;
 Well rounded / experienced mechanical engineer;
 Knowledge of water and sewage treatment systems;
 Knowledge of tanks, piping distribution systems and structures;
 The candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record of successful delivery of engineering design to projects to allow for successful procurement, construction and commissioning;
 Strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English and Azeri are essential.
 Computer literate. MS Office.  AUTO Cad, driving license.
