HSE MANAGER
Main Role and Purpose:
Promote Health, Safety & Environment Culture
Provide HSE input and support in all safety related matters as required for all activities; ensure safety support is provided for the identification, analysis, assessment, and management of the safety risks
Accountabilities:
Ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company’s Procedures and Policies in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.
Responsible for implementing, monitoring and auditing the Company’s Integrated Quality, Safety and Environmental Policy in conjunction with QHSE Manager.
Ensure regular HSE Audits are conducted and non-conformances are reviewed, effective corrective action implemented and closed out in a timely manner.
Advise Engineering Department as required on supply, repair and maintenance of safety and fire fighting equipment and ensure same is carried out.
Liaise with clients on safety requirements; inform Waterman contractors on company’s safety requirements.
Liaising with Human Resources Department to identify HSE training needs and coordinate delivery of training courses to senior management and staff.
Conduct regular HSE Meetings and prepare additional supporting documents for daily Toolbox Talks and check of processes.
Ensure that Risk Assessments and HSE Inspections are carried out, Accident and Incident Reports are processed in a timely manner and distributed to interested parties.
Instill a “no blame culture” for safety issue and encourage a proactive environment regarding safety matters.
Provide emergency procedures, first-aid facilities, safety signs, relevant protective clothing and equipment, and incident investigation and reporting to the relevant authorities.
Prevent or adequately control exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation and manual handling risks.
Administrate and circulate all new HSE Legislation Circulars.
Conduct regular site inspections and required reports.
Advise and/or represent site management system perspective and recommend actions to address deficiencies.
Create a safety awareness culture throughout Waterman and in personnel daily life
Competencies Required:
Experience working within the principles of an HSE Management System; Advanced knowledge in HSE certification, permit documentation and compliance, management system document development and incident investigation;
Bachelor Degree in a HSE related study or/and in Engineering, Construction and Management;
Minimum 5 year experience in construction, engineering and/or HSE related field;
Advanced computer skills and reporting skills, driving license.
Excellent language skills (Azerbaijani, English)
