Assistant Groups, Conferences & Events Sales Manager

Assistant G,C&E Sales Manager with Hilton Hotels and Resorts will assist in meeting and banquet efforts to maximise revenue, profit, and the satisfaction of Guests and vendor relations.

What will s/he be doing?

 Coordination of the hotel’s sales activities with the aim of optimal meeting room and accommodation occupancy
 Price negotiations on the basis of yield specifications
 Care of the groups during his stay, both in the room area and also in the Conference & Events area
 Development, design and calculation of attractive offers for groups and events.
 Agreements with groups and events.
 Conducting site inspections
 Practical implementation of group & conventions operating targets
 Contribution to the optimal economic success of the hotel with rational use of operating resources
 Continuous improvement of the product range and the image of the hotel
 Setting his/her individual sales targets with the Groups & Events Sales Manager and monitoring of the results.
 Ensures permanent observation of the market and competitors, involvement in drawing up analyses of competitors and statistics.
 Monitoring the offers, options and cancellations for repeat bookings for groups, conventions, and seminars in close contact  with the Sales and Reservations Departments
 Processing all queries on trade fairs and exhibitions from offer through to booking, taking account of the regulations and rate and booking conditions
 Support the Groups, Conferences & Events Sales Manager in tasks such as job interviews, appointment, Team Member training, assessment of performance, induction training, and consultation.
 
What are we looking for?

 Correct image and representation of the Hotel in a dignified form towards guests and negotiating partners
 Guest oriented approach to acquire and retain satisfied customers / guests.
 Good communication skills Verbal ( both face to face and telephone ) and Written
 Efficient and friendly support to other Team Member within own and other departments
 Demonstrated previous experience working in a Sales especially in hospitality industry environment (Not must but would be an asset)
 Efficient usage of all hotel property management systems  (Not must but would be an asset)
