Job Description

Job Function/Scope

• Ensure all necessary transport requirements are arranged to efficiently satisfy operational demand and maximise utilisation;
• Coordination with Logistics Coordinators to organize called-out materials for offshore from third party contractors;
• Ensure the  efficient transportation of backload materials and rental equipment (HCR) to contractors;  
• Call out and direct ad-hoc transport as required from client approved transport providers;
• Ensure that complete job, task and journey details are recorded for analysis and statistical data with special focus on tonnage and mileage;
• Review & record night-shift transport operations on a daily basis in order to have complete and accurate data in place;
• Develop monthly transportation reports; focusing on vendor delay for both deliveries and collections;
• Ensure that all journeys or trips undertaken are controlled and managed in compliance with Governmental, BP and base procedures and regulations

People

• Ensure sufficient manpower is available at all times to maintain predetermined manning levels;
• Ensure full and effective employment of heavy vehicle drivers in a safe manner;
• Responsible for identification and communication of any training / coaching requirements for the transport personnel.

HSEQ

• Ensure that all drivers and passengers follow BP Golden Rules;
• Conduct Tool Box Talks, pre-job discussions, risk assessments, as necessary, for work carried out by heavy goods vehicle drivers.
• Monitoring and prevention of unsafe situations.
• Ensure that all Transport personnel wear appropriate PPE.
• Ensure compliance with BP Golden Rules, Safe Systems of Work and Operating Procedures.
• Ensure that all transport personnel have the right and appropriate documentation, certification and permits to carry out responsibilities, which are required for their position and are properly trained in all aspects of their job function.
• Maintain awareness of the potential significant environmental and social aspects and impacts of the operation.
• Constantly look for and act in the ways that reduce the health and safety risks, and the environmental, social, and security impact of your job and initiate improvements.

Customers

• Act as focal point of contact for all transport related issues
• Coordination with client, vendors and all related internal departments for smooth and effective transport operations;
• Maintain good working relationship with vendors, contractors, 3rd parties.

• Ability to identify priorities, co-ordinate resources and manage the performance of operations activities
• Ability to drive change and be innovative
• Ability to accurately handle paperwork and documentation
• Ability to coordinate and supervise.

Essential Skills

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
• Good command of English, Azeri and Russian.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Awareness of Dangerous Goods by Road regulations (ADR).

Desired Skills

• Experience within supply base or logistic operations
