The largest community in BP's Upstream Segment, around 6000 people work in operations, essentially delivering oil and gas from the wellhead to the market. Operations staff play a significant role at all stages of the exploration and production cycle - providing input to a project from early appraisal all the way through to full production.
Role synopsis BP
Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites qualified and experienced citizens of Azerbaijan to apply to Mechanical engineer position specializing in Static Equipment. The successful candidate will contribute by providing key technical support to the business on Static Mechanical Equipment, provide strategic input to technology planning, develop and implement segment wide continuous improvement projects and help ensure the health of the discipline within the segment
Key accountabilities:
- Provide assistance in the development for fit-for-purpose engineering solutions for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, valves and tanks
- Contribute to stress analysis and fracture mechanics
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and compliance with BP Engineering Technical Practices
- Provide technical input to risk assessments, Management of change reviews and project reviews
- In all activities, demonstrate strong HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and regulatory compliance record
Essential Education Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Essential experience and job requirements Minimum 4 year experience in static mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, valves and storage tanks

Desirable criteria & qualifications - Good verbal and written communications skills
