Currently, Madad Azerbaijan is recruiting successful candidates for the Program Officer position. Position:  Public Relations Officer

Reports to:  Executive Director, R&D Manager

Position grade:  Research and Development Department, 4

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Maintain a positive public image of the organization
 Liaise with and building good working relations with relevant local government officials and media for coverage of the organization’s activities
 Compose effective press releases, prepare information and media kits and develop and maintain company’s website, social media page, and internal newsletter
 Identify main client groups and audiences and determine efficient ways to communicate publicity information to them
 Develop and maintain the company's corporate image and identity, which includes the use of logos and signage
 Manage special events to support partnership development and visibility
 Identify and publish newsworthy stories from the Madad’s activities and projects through press-releases and media outlets
 Manage communications budgets
 Evaluate advertising and promotion programs for compatibility with public relations efforts
 Work with Executive Director and related managers in developing corporate communications strategy of the organization
 Facilitate constituent relations, or the relationship between different parts of the organization, such as managers, employees, contractors, and/or branches
 Maintain company archives
 Observe and report on social, economic and political trends that might affect the organization
 Participation in the initiatives related to the affiliation with international educational networks and organizations
 Participation in business development initiatives led by the R&D Manager and/or Executive Director
 Represent the organization at local and international events
 Travel within Azerbaijan and abroad as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous work experience in the field of public relations or corporate communications;
• Bachelor degree in one of the following areas: Journalism, International Relations
• Proficiency in Azerbaijani, English and Russian;
• Excellent writing skills (to be tested during the interview);
• Advanced user of MS Office, Internet browsers, and office equipment.

• Mature, creative, responsible, and attentive to details;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills;
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
