What you need to know and have:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Prior experience or internship in a DevOps or software development role is preferred but not mandatory for a junior position.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and administration.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, firewall configurations, and security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Understanding of web servers (e.g., Nginx, Apache) and load balancers.
• Familiarity with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.

Certifications:

• Any relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) would be a plus, although not required for a junior position
