Responsibilities:
- The Electrician / CAM Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the learning and understanding of company equipment while being employed.
- Responsible for the following tasks as members of a workshop crew: maintain equipment in accordance with the current maintenance program; inspect, assemble, disassemble, and check the functionality of CAM equipment in accordance with the current maintenance management system; load and unload equipment as per instructions from the supervisor.
- Calibration of Load Cells & Torque Gauges.
- Trouble shoot & request/order appropriate parts for repairing the equipment.
- Competent in computer programs applicable to the requirements of CAM applications, uploading software.
- Able to carry out the hours of work and duties as specified by the CAM Supervisor while at the workshop.
- Will receive appropriate training to appraise them of relevant legislation, Company Policy, standards, and procedures.
- Attend the regular safety meetings, which take place within Frank's when invited.
- Recommend measures to improve procedures, equipment performance, quality of services, and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of services or work crew.
- Keep work area clear of trip hazards and perform housekeeping chores to keep the floor and equipment clean of debris.
- Report any unsafe practices, conditions, and/or damage to the environment to the appropriate supervisor.
- Seek ways to eliminate unsafe practices, conditions, and avoid damage to the environment.
- This work can be physically demanding. These demands may be defined as exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to climb stairs, perform lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, standing/bending tasks, and endure long hours in possible adverse weather conditions.
- Fulfill any additional tasks and duties that can be assigned by the Line Manager/Supervisor.
Skill Essential to the Job:
Technical:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience working offshore or workshop environment
- Ability to work in remote locations; must be capable of normal movements of all limbs (4) and possess normal hearing and speech abilities.
- Have strong electrical, mechanical or electronic equipment knowledge.
- Conversant with Company Health and Safety Procedures, Company Policy and Procedures, and Environmental Policies.
