Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in managing the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in the facility
  • Oversee and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
  • Provide technical support to staff and contractors, as required, to diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule repairs and maintenance work, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Assist in the procurement and installation of new equipment and systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our business operations and are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, and report any major issues to the Chief Engineer.
  • Assist in developing and managing the departmental budget, ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is completed within the approved budget.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, and that all safety and regulatory requirements are met
  • Work with the Chief Engineer to develop and implement a comprehensive training and development program for junior engineers and technicians
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all staff and contractors follow established safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or a related field
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire safety systems
  • Experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers and technicians
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office and computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Language skills: Azerbaijani, Russian, English;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
