Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To drive light vehicles to transport people and/or material in strict adherence to internal security rules, national traffic laws and security conditions on the road.
  • To ensure that goods are stowed inside the vehicle according to local, international and ICRC safety standards (attachment and distribution of goods, etc.).
  • To check assigned vehicle(s)' equipment, general functioning and body condition and ensures that it is kept fueled and clean inside and out.
  • To ensure that the trips have been authorized, where necessary.
  • To report accidents, defects and/or missing equipment to management immediately.
  • Can act as head of convoy as needed (in charge of the driver(s), application of security rules and time-frame for the convoy
  • \To help onloading and offloading from the vehicles.

About you:

To be successful as a Driver, you should possess the following qualifications and experience and have the following characteristics:

  • Primary school education, B category driving license, having BC is an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Basic knowledge of spoken English & Russian
  • Good physical condition
  • Ability to drive a 4x4 (4W) vehicle
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is must
  • Knowledge of using modern ICT devices (for navigating)
  • Experience and elementary technical knowledge on Automobile maintenance (oil checks, changing tyres, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of the area of assignment.
