  • Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary HSE behavior, to implement HSE rules and requirements
  • Ensure that the engineering of the Commissioning activities in his/her area of responsibility is completed on time. In particular:
  • Support the Completion Coordinator for finalizing the preparation of the ICAPS® Commissioning database for mechanical items,
  • Finalize the Commissioning procedures, in accordance with the Commissioning methodology, in his/her area of responsibility,
  • Review and approve the vendors SAT and commissioning procedures for packages and mechanical equipment.
  • Follow-up the completion of the Pre-commissioning activities:
  • Witness as required the mechanical FAT, IFAT and Pre-commissioning execution activities at vendor’s workshop, at contractor’s yard and on site,
  • Review the vendors and/or contractors FAT, IFAT and  Pre-commissioning reports for packages and mechanical equipment,
  • Participate in the review of the Pre-commissioning dossiers.
  • Ensure the preparation of the daily mechanical Commissioning activities:
  • Support the Commissioning Lead and Completion Coordinator in planning the mechanical Commissioning activities. Plan the work of his/her team for the next days
  • Ensure that all drawings, materials, tools and spare parts necessary for the performance of the mechanical Commissioning activities remain available for the work, ready on time, properly calibrated and in working order
  • Supervise the execution of the Commissioning activities in his/her area of responsibility:
  • Ensure that JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Pre-job meetings are performed prior to job execution on the field. Conduct them as necessary,
  • Ensure that the Permit To Work procedure is correctly implemented,
  • Supervise the execution of the Functional testing and Operational Test procedures in his/her area of responsibility as per Project Specifications. Ensure the compliance of the mechanical equipment of the plant with technical specifications and drawings,
  • Support as necessary the other disciplines (electrical, ICSS/Instrumentation, Telecom, HVAC, etc.) in the performance of their Commissioning activities
  • Supervise the execution of the SAT procedures by the vendors for the packages,
  • Supervise the troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance of all mechanical items,
  • Ensure the most efficient utilization of his/her personnel resources and ensure that all his/her
  • Commissioning activities are completed in accordance with the planning.
  • Ensure that all mechanical Commissioning activities are recorded and monitored as per the requirements of ICAPS® and Project Specifications. Participate to the progress reporting.

Essential Qualification and Experience:

  • Level / Diploma: Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Experience: 20 years of experience in Mechanics with more than 10 years in Oil & Gas upstream facilities with relevant experiences in a commissioning role. 
  • In-depth knowledge of: Commissioning & Start-up of offshore facilities, maintenance and operation of centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, maintenance and operation of compressors, in particular screw compressor, etc.
  • Other required Competencies: Interface with contractors/subcontractors, leadership,…
  • Fluent in English language,
  • Valid BOSIET and medical certificate for offshore work.
