Your day to day:

• Perform sewing duties including altering, fitting, and mending for guests, hotel linen and uniforms
• Fit all new employees with existing uniforms
• Cut, tailor, mend and alter uniforms
• Convert condemned items into usable items
• Sew curtains, cushions and wall coverings
• Attend to guest requests
• Assist in the preparation of special functions
• Maintain equipment and keep own working area clean
• Check all linen and uniform repairs on a daily basis
• Make costumes for special events for the hotel
• Maintain sewing supplies such as threads, buttons, zippers, linen etc
• Prepare requisitions for depleted supplies
• Check condemned linen from Laundry
• Assis in the linen room duties as appropriate
• Assist in inventory taking
• Advise superior of damages and loss of linen / uniform on regular basis
• Establishe and maintain effective employee relations

What we need from you:

• Minimum one year housekeeping experience required, prior luxury hospitality experience desired
• trained with professional tailoring skills and made previous experiences in a similar position, preferable in hospitality industry
• having general knowledge on housekeeping procedures and standards
• Must possess basic computational ability
