Guest Service Agent

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Welcome and check in for guests, taking account of the established standards (choice of suitable room, completion of bookings and entry into the   computer, handover of the room pass and the key, safeguarding payment, luggage organisation).
- Check out of departing guests in accordance with the established standards (drawing up of guests’ bills, processing using the computer system).
- Carry out administrative tasks (sorting in and sorting out of vouchers, etc.)
- Know the standards and put them into practice in her/his daily work, thus actively pursuing the hotel’s objectives.
- Obtain all the relevant information from the previous shift, including the volume of business, special guests, tasks to be clarified and to be completed and special events.
- Take over any other tasks and special projects which arise in the course of business
- Know all tasks on the central telephone switchboard (acceptance and passing on of telephone calls, faxes, messages, etc.), can work independently there and will take over shifts when necessary.
- Be available for guests at all times as a point of contact and co-responsibility for appropriate treatment of guest complaints, passing on and documenting such complaints
- Have knowledge of all the equipment and installations on the Executive Floors, and able to work there independently in conformity with the established standard and take over shifts if necessary.
- Be familiar with the daily activities in the hotel.
- Takes part in training courses regularly and put the know-how thus obtained into practice.

Hotel experience and/or previous guest services work experience is preferable.
