AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Corporate Buyer.

The successful candidate should have:

• Relevant experience in the same or a similar industry
• Capability to source and procure goods and services in a professional and ethical manner
• Must be able to communicate well in both written and spoken mediums
• Ability to work well with others and provide support and assistance to cover peak work loads
• To have a flexible approach to duties especially during busy periods and provide role overlap
• Capability to work as part of a team providing support to others 
• Able to work under own initiative  

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Identify, Evaluate and Approve potential Suppliers, and maintain an ethical and efficient AMEC Approved Supplier Data Base
• Issue RFQ / ITT / Enquiries to International and Local Suppliers in compliance with the appropriate processes and procedures
• Undertake professional and ethical tender bid evaluations
• Negotiate and co-ordinate bid evaluations and clarifications through to award stage
• Place purchase orders in line with planned commitment dates
• Ensure all goods and services purchased comply with HSSE regulations and standards
• Ensure all goods and services purchased comply with appropriate Specifications and Standard
• Ensure suppliers meet their contractual obligations including meeting delivery dates
Expedite purchase orders to ensure that Material and Document deliveries meet planned receipt dates
• Provide procurement, expediting and cost reports as required.  
• Ensure appropriate AMEC terms and conditions are applied to the procurement of all goods and services
• Undertake Invoice verification of procured goods and services
• Perform purchase order close-out and archiving
