Job title VAS Platforms Planning Engineer

Accountabilities 

Take part in achievement of company plans and targets
Assist with collecting and writing product requirements, Participate in working documentation reviews and planning the work and daily tasks of the team
Analyze product requirements, Participate and Provide technical expertise to other departments and highest level of support and troubleshooting of VAS services, Maintain equipment register/logbook.
Participate in processes of administration, configuration and management of VAS applications, platforms and all related systems, in planning and management of platforms and services capacity expansion, taking into consideration existing and new services’ requirements
Perform regression and Interoperability testing in lab environment of upgrades and software corrections, Software and Hardware updates and upgrades according to vendor’s instructions
Analyze proposals and investigate possibilities for implementation of new VAS services
Develop and implement new VAS services, tools for improvement of existing VAS services
Plan and perform Functional Acceptance Tests and system verification after software and hardware updates and after implementation of new services
Prepare necessary documents and work orders to facilitate the work of support and operation - maintenance engineers
Receive feedback from Support engineers and update VAS platforms and services as well as documentation if necessary
Resource in Product Engineering, VAS and Messaging platform planning and engineering
Provide daily, weekly and monthly activity report whenever necessary
Monitor quality of the applications, services and products, license and KPIs. Provide reports.

Education 

University Technical education is preferred
Lower qualification acceptable with appropriate experience

Experience  

Minimum of 1 Year experience in the field of mobile communications.
Languages Azeri – Excellent
Russian – Good
English – written and spoken

Abilities Basic knowledge of mobile communications

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge and experience in administration, engineering, configuration or management of VAS application platforms (including any of the following but not limited to: SMSC, SMSGW, MMSC, WAPGW, Welcome SMS, Streaming services etc) is preferable Technical experience in working with any of the following: IN, Programming languages, Databases, Operating Systems, IT equipment
Knowledge of key mobile telecoms core network and VAS & Messaging platform technologies, including hardware and software components
Knowledge of 3GPP network technologies and end-to-end planning practices, implementation methods and cost optimization strategies, with a specialty in Core and VAS for Product Engineering
Knowledge in systems integration techniques, system engineering, systems management, and KPI reporting
Strong understanding of technology trends, best practices, and management of technology innovation operations
Follow company procedures and work instructions
Relevant professional training will be provided to the employee in order to reach the necessary qualification level to perform successfully work tasks.
The employee must perform any other job related tasks assigned by the line Manager.
