Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing technical assistance;
  • Support related to computer systems, hardware, and software;
  • Answering queries and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner;
  • Train users on basic system and computer functions;
  • Understanding and proactively maintaining daily system performance;
  • Having the ability to troubleshoot customer problems;
  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests relate to IT issues;
  • Maintain electronic interactive Whiteboards and act as support if any system goes down;
  • Responsible for PC’s, Printers and related equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc);
  • Maintain user PC, Mac, iPad including upgrades and configuration as needed;
  • Assist with onboarding of new users;
  • Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users;
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software;
  • General awareness of computer systems, repair, and network management;
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise;
  • Ability deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile;
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security within systems and user devices;
  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time;
  • Supports teachers to achieve school goals and to improve the teacher's capacity to innovate and explore digital approaches;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a shared vision for the comprehensive integration of technology;
  • Provide support to classroom teachers and students;
  • Train teachers in digital tools;
  • Assist with the selection and implementation of new instructional software applications;
  • Provide districtwide trainings as needed;
  • Ability to provide leadership, self-initiate, communicates effectively orally and in writing, ability to work with new and experienced staff.;
  • Ability to encourage, coach and support teachers during the learning process. 

Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • A bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree is desirable. Specific training in computer science or its use, experience preferred;
  • An understanding of appropriate uses of technology in the educational setting, particularly as regards mobile technology in a 1:1 learning environment.

Language Skills: 

  • Ability to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in Azerbaijani and close to fluently in English;
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, parents, staff or members of the community; 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 

Computer Skills: 

  • Competency with Windows computers and software, in particular Microsoft Office and Google Apps, an understanding of the Windows operating system, in particular Windows 7 and Windows 8, as well as Mac OS X operating system, in particular 10.6, 10.7 10.8;
  • Competency in iOS software and iPad functionality;
  • An understanding of TCP/IP networking;
  • Current knowledge of available and emerging technologies, especially as regards mobile Computing;
  • Ability to type accurately and proficiently.
