Operation Support System Engineer

Requirements:

Higher education in IT/Telecommunication or other relevant fields;
1-2 years of experience in telecommunication field;
Fundamental knowledge in GSM/UMTS, Telecommunications and IP networks
Excellent MS Office skills;
English and Russian (pre-Intermediate), Azerbajani (fluent);
Free of Military obligation;

Roles & Responsibilities:

To be responsible for installation, implementation, integration, commission, acceptance, operations and maintenance of following equipments:
• SGSN
• GGSN
• Other assigned platforms
To be responsible for restoring responsible  platforms from fresh BackUp anytime;
Analyzes and provides solutions to the problems encountered on the network;
To contribute to acceptance of new installed nodes, equipments;
To be responsible for execution of approved work orders and solutions from engineering department as well as from vendor support to problems encountered on the network;
To ensure no any changes in the responsible platforms without work order;
To inform all related teams and departments for any service effective problems on the network in time;
To keep in close contact with Network Monitoring Center and with customer care to identify network problems in time and solution within minimum possible timeframe;
Regular controlling of network KPI’s and to start immediate investigation for root cause and initiate action plan for improvement of worth KPI’s;
To be responsible for core network (SGSN/GGSN/other assigned platform) uptime per node according to company defined target;
To be responsible for core network (SGSN/GGSN/other assigned platform) platforms failures/problems solution according to company defined target timeframe;
Develops and evaluates responses to RFQs;
To prepare and ensure existence and up to date of related network passports and diagrams;
Ensures full backup know how for each task;
To ensure compatibility of needed spare part capacity to support continues uptime and service for responsible platforms;
To be 24h/7d on-call and/or on site available up on request;
To be flexible;
Ensures confidentiality of information;
Maintains good relations with all teams and departments;
Respects deadlines and organizes tasks accordingly;
To perform operation and maintenance of the core platforms (SGSN/GGSN/other assigned platform) and Implementation process for this areas;
To ensure compliance of executed works to the business procedures and instructions;
To share knowledge and skills with colleagues required for unit activities;
Preparation of the corresponding reports regarding responsible areas;
Existing systems improvement;
