Duties:

- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools;
- Carry out inspection and testing of plant and equipment based on work orders;
- Carry out corrective maintenance of plant and equipment based on work orders;
- Ensure all work orders are completed and returned to the Service Manager;
- Understand and comply with the diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications;
- Troubleshoot malfunctions;
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments;
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, examining form and texture of parts;
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments;
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges;
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies’ inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; forecast required equipment, parts and supplies; place and expedite orders and verify receipts;
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests;
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications;
- Document and communicate actions and irregularities;
- Respond courteously and effectively to all reasonable customer demands;
- Demonstrate ability to work as a team in achieving all operational and maintenance requirements;
- Ensure that all activity is performed in accordance with relevant company guidelines, procedures, rules and statutory regulations;
- Maintain safe and clean working environment; understand potential significant environmental impacts on the operation;
- Reduce health & safety risks and initiate improvements related to environmental, social, and security issues;
- Attend team brief/safety meetings as required;
- Follow the waste management process;
- Participate in the Accident / Near Miss Investigation processes;
- Train new team members;
- Carry out special projects as assigned;
- Other reasonable tasks as required by Management.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Experience in working with diesel engines and hydraulic systems;
- Proven competency in servicing and repair of plant, equipment, vehicles and material handling equipment;
- A minimum of 2-3 years related experience in industry;
- Ability to communicate and work as a team;
- Intermediate English reading, writing and language skills;
- Thorough understanding of HSE requirements & behavior.
