Basic Function:
To ensure that BP’s HSSE expectations are met during the construction activities within the Onshore construction site (Sangachal Terminal).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring compliance to BP HSSE expectations and Project HSE Philosophy on the project site
• Performing Safety General Inspections with BP and contractor personnel
• Assisting in accident/incident investigation(s), by collating facts, data and information relative to these incidents
• Maintaining high presence in the construction areas to ensure effective safety management by field supervision
• Act as HSE interface point at Site between BP and Construction personnel
• Monitor Construction site HSE performance & report to Site Manager any shortcomings
• Monitor Site HSE trends and analyze to identify potential weak areas
• Work with HSE Lead to prepare monthly HSE data and progress reports to be submitted to the HSE Manager
• Be familiar and act as a mentor for RTC, SOC, BOSS programmes and other promote & audit on site
• Promote use of TRA on site to ensure hazards are identified and understood by workforce
• Review Fabricator’s HSE Plan for quality & effectiveness.  Identify means to improve
• Conduct site HSE audits & report findings to HSE Lead
• Help manage Site HSE Interfaces for Constructor & Sub-contractors. AIOC & Fabrication Contractor members. Vendor representatives & site personnel
• STOP all unsafe WORK

Academic / Experience requirements

• As a minimum a NEBOSH National General Certificate
• HSE Auditor certification or experience in HSE Auditing
• Minimum 5 years in HSE Advisor role for oil and gas operations / projects with an operator
• Caspian Sea experience desirable
• Practical experience of developing and implanting HSE programs, processes and safe systems of work
• Knowledge and experience of Working at Height
• Knowledge of Lifting operations
• Knowledge of Catering and Hygiene
• Knowledge of commissioning and PTW
• Knowledge of trades – workshops.
• Knowledge of Civil construction operations
• Knowledge of Environmental issues

Other requirements
Computer Skills: MSOffice programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Languages: fluent Azerbaijani and English
