Expatriate Position - General Manager, Baku

General Manager – OCTG, NDT, LGI and Rope Access Inspection Business
Responsible for the performance of the Baku operations and the profitable growth of the Company, reporting to the Singapore Operation.

Job Description:

The General Manager will have full responsibility for the business unit, which includes the financial performance, sales & marketing and operations. He will provide leadership in formulating and implementing strategy for sustainable profitable growth.
Vacancy for the post of General Manager for OCTG, NDT, LGI& Rope Access Inspection Business for World leading Tubular Inspection Company located in Baku with HQ in Houston, Texas

Responsibilities

•       Develop and implement annual business plan for Sales, Rental and Service operations.
•       Lead and oversee all commercial and technical negotiations in relation to business development and operational activities.
•       Support the continued implementation of lean practices within the company while working with the team to secure new business.
•       Maintain the Company’s presently stable financials and make financially-sound, well-supported decisions.
•       Operate the business in a manner that creates a high degree of customer satisfaction, a favorable community image and high employee morale.
•       Establish and maintain good relationships with the customer and the surrounding community.
•       Provide service excellence in ensuring that all service operations are made in a professional manner and that every reasonable precaution is taken to avoid any delay.
•       Lead the operation team to provide excellent leadership and seamless support to deliver spotless result.
•       Establish strong relationships with large suppliers, government authorities and influential local bodies/individuals.
•       Establish policies and procedures issued by corporate office.
•       Manage and improve functional areas and processes in order to achieve a high level of operational efficiency and effectiveness by developing and maintaining effective operational system with optimum utilization of resources, internally and externally.
•       Recruit and develop a sufficient pool of internal and/or external field technicians to carry out servicing demand on a timely basis.
•       Develop and train a strong second line of leaders through coaching and mentoring with succession planning objectives.
•       Manage and develop people and improving productivity through training.
•       Observe, monitor and maintain a close watch on local laws and regulations changes and assist the line manager for any alteration which may or may not affect the method of operation.
•       Manage to prevent losses, protection of employees’ safety & health, maintain equipment and facilities at optimum level.

Requirements

• You will possess a strong business and marketing sense with the ability to develop service packages which meet the customers’ needs as well as having good customer service management ability.
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
• At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Corporate Strategy/Top Management, Sales - Engineering/Technical/ or equivalent.
•        Full-Time position.
•       Background in Oilfield Inspection Services or related Industries
•       Experience in managing a similar operation would be well regarded
•       Strong track record of dealing with customers
•       Possess good business acumen with good interpersonal and communication skills
