Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC is seeking a Product Development Officer for its Head Office.

Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC (AzerCredit) helps develop the economy of Azerbaijan by providing credit to small entrepreneurs so that they can grow their businesses and improve their economic situation. AzerCredit is one of the largest micro-credit organizations in Azerbaijan. Moreover, staff members usually become the main taskforce, which brings innovation, as frequent focus groups with staff are conducted to brainstorm and gather their thoughts and ideas. AzerCredit is currently seeking a Product Development Officer for its Head Office. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

Purpose of the position is to assist the Marketing and Product Development Manager with development of new or improvement of existing products, processes, and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Product Development

1.1. Participates in market researches, including identification of target clients, determination of client needs, analysis of research findings, and preparation of relevant proposals;
1.2. Designs product prototypes, completes product design in cooperation with relevant departments;
1.3. Analyzing main factors that influence pricing, suggests a price for a new product and collects customer feedback on the suggested price;
1.4. Develops necessary policies and procedures to ensure unified product introduction and operation;
1.5. Arranges product pilot testing as a key actor of the project team;
1.6. Launches product rollout;
1.7. Proposes modifications to existing products and services based on findings of customer surveys, market research and quantitative and qualitative analyses;
1.8. Executes product refinement decisions.    

2. Product Promotion
1. 2.1. Develops customer marketing materials necessary to launch a new or refined product;
2. 2.2. Takes actions to increase the public’s awareness on VF AzerCredit’s products and services, including writing media releases and postings for the organization’s website.

3. Product Evaluation and Monitoring
3.1. Performs post-launch analysis in order to inform the management of current status of each product and service;
3.2. Monitors the impact of marketing efforts to ensure smooth product introduction;
3.3. Maintains relevant statistics and information relating to offered products and services;
3.4. Contributes to overall departmental reports prepared for the management, investors and other stakeholders.

4. Training of staff

4.1. Develops product marketing and selling training modules in coordination with the Training and Staff Development Officer;
4.2. Arranges and delivers training sessions aimed at rolling-out new products or service.

5. Any other duties that may be assigned by the management.

Required Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• University degree in marketing, economics or business administration (MBA is preferred);
• Prior experience in market research and product development within a financial institution preferably;
• Strong verbal and written Azerbaijani and English language skills;
• High level of loyalty towards the organization and its mission;
• Willingness to be flexible with hours when necessary and ability to travel locally;
• Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, integrity and self-discipline;
• Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, project management tools and graphic design software.
