“AMEC”, a major Western Design Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for an experienced Lead Estimator to provide accurate and effective cost estimating support to the Small Projects Integrated Team. 

LEAD ESTIMATOR

Job responsibilities:

1. Implementation of cost estimating system including norms and labour rates and procedure and revise as necessary.
2. Provide estimates for both Onshore and Offshore schemes and flowlines through life of project and for particular CVP stage gates.
3. BRISK cost risk analysis.
4. Manage, supervise and train delegate estimating team.
5. Conduct in-depth forensic audits of past projects to revise and manage norms and rates against actuals.
6. Update norms for current procurement trends.
7. Prepare procedures for Small Projects Team.
8. Production of and maintenance of internal authorisation registers including associated rate tables and organisation chart.
9. Follow and behave in line with company  Code of Conduct, HSSE rules and procedures. Make individual contribution to the safety, compliance and risk management (this includes but not limited to production of BOSS cards).

Successful candidates will need the following core competencies: 

1) Cost estimating for both Onshore & Offshore Projects.
2) Estimating & calculation of quantities from drawings and documentation.
3) Utilisation of labour norms and rates.
4) Understanding of principles of Schedule of Rates and Norms.
5) Management, supervision and training of delegate teams.
6) Minimum 10 yrs experience in similar role in the Oil and Gas industry.
