Location: Data Center

Work Schedule: Full time 8/5

Salary: Negotiable

Main responsibilities:

• Hands-on ability to operate the infrastructure of a modern data centers, including cooling, power, security systems, maintenance operations, and building management systems.
• Ability to perform and deeply understand all common cooling calculations and basic power calculations on single and 3-phase circuits.
• Experience managing contractors, maintenance contracts, and other vendor activities
• Experience working with maintenance management systems, especially in a data center context
• Experience developing SOPs, MOPs, work plans, maintenance manuals, or other operational documentation
• Excellent analytical, trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and produce engineering documents such as Working Instructions and Sequence of Operations documents.
• Installing and managing large and/or dense computer systems, including an understanding of the special cooling needs of large computer systems.
• Commissioning, qualification and change control activities related to BMS including but not limited to HVAC, chiller plants, domestic and process water systems, building automation systems, etc.
• Programming and operating of BMS systems
• Experience with diesel-power motor-generator systems
• Experience with UPS systems
• Licenses, certifications, or hands-on skills in electrical systems, control systems, HVAC, and related fields
• Experience in the design of data center infrastructure such as cooling piping, control systems, ventilation systems, plumbing, and related mechanical or electrical systems.
• Lead mechanical engineering projects for the Infrastructure Operations team. This includes working cross functionally with MEP teams, Infrastructure teams, vendors and partners
• Troubleshoot and establish corrective actions, generate reports
• Conduct regular analyses and audits of mechanical system utilization.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks
• Develop effective measurements and reports from BMS and other monitoring systems to increase performance and reliability.
• Evaluate systems to perform effective and efficient load management and capacity planning. Monitor, trend, and develop engineering metrics and statistical data for strategic planning.
• Review "as-built" mechanical documentation and verify accuracy. Investigate actual site conditions and update records.
• Evaluate facility processes and industry best practices to drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
• To actively support colleagues and team members in BaU (Business as Usual) operations
• To proactive predict and eliminate of faults
• To be responsible for managing the provision of high quality managed support services to mission critical environments, in line with Service Level Agreements and customer expectations
• To ensure development of and adherence to processes and policies: ITIL, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Desk Management, Change Management, Operations Monitoring & Performance Reporting
• To be responsible for ensuring consistent execution of processes and on-going improvement
• To formally report on incidents to stakeholders, defects/faults happened and workaround/fixes implemented

Experience:

• 4+ years professional experience in data center/mission critical design, construction, operations, and maintenance.
• Knowledge in airflow and water distribution systems, including reverse osmosis (RO) plants and pre-treatment processes (water softening and filtration).
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, condenser water systems, pump controls, Glycols, AHU units, (DX, split, RTU, CRAC, etc.), raised floor systems, and Hot/Cold aisle containment.
• Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards, including familiarity of ASHRAE TC9.9, NFPA-75/76, TIA-942
• Possess trouble shooting, analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Familiar with navigating through Building Management System programs
• Cross-discipline knowledge of complete critical facility systems such as electrical power distribution and life safety systems.
• Experience with Schneider Electric, CAT as a plus
• Experience driving complex projects under pressure

Minimum qualifications, Experience & Skills required:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or science is preferred
• MEP certifications
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Visio software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and tools
• Working knowledge of BMS and DCIM systems
• Experience in IT/Networking systems as a plus
• Experience in programming languages (Python, etc.) as a plus
• Knowledge in Datacenters environment and Tier standards
