Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Project Control Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but not limited to the followings:

• Preparing and updating the Company progress measuring system and verifying data provided by construction team
• Managing E&I scope quantities, including compensation events, measurements and valuations
• Estimating & preparing an accurate Bill of Quantities
• Assistance in the management of the contract cost models (Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates, Activity Schedules, Milestones, etc.) within the contract documentation
• Supporting the Project Controls Team in the process of challenge / validation of estimates pertaining to change as well as carrying out activities such as re-measurement to support validation and assessment of PPC
• Receiving, validating and recommending monthly valuations/payments for the project to the Project Manager and Project Controls Manager including verifying man hour returns, site measures, volumes done, day works claims, additional work requests, claims and the like
• Maintaining accurate records and negotiation to help resolve contractual conflicts and disputed claims with Client and subcontractor
• Estimating and validating planned scope volumes and achievements for progress measurement in the format and time required under the Contract
• Preparing detailed progress reports
• Knowledge and awareness of Construction linked planning network and be able to run forward / backward passes, analyzing / demonstrating the critical path method, discussing and coordinating with construction planner

Minimum qualifications &experience required:

• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and systems completion planning processes, planning tools and project management and control techniques
• Understanding and ability to apply generally accepted planning and project control practices to budget quantity / hours resource loaded schedule created by WBS.
• Application and understanding of engineering documentation, standards and specifications
• Ability to interpret project controls documentation and preparing planning / reporting documents in accordance with industry standard practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
• At least 5 years of a professional work experience in Electrical & Instrumentation field; knowledge in Quantity Surveying and Progress Measurement is a plus.
• Soft Skills (MS Office, AutoCAD)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Familiar with reading Electrical & Instrumentation drawings such as Single Line Diagrams, Wiring & Loop Diagrams, Cable Route, Earthing and Lightning Layouts, Cable & Load Lists, Hook-Ups, P&ID, Cable Lists, Block Diagrams etc.[email protected]
