System administrator

Scope

- Maintain/configure /ensure reliable operation of computer systems, network servers;
- Install/upgrade computer components/software;
- Manage virtual servers/integrate automation processes;
- Run diagnostics to troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions,
- Prioritize problems/assess impact;
- Provide technical specifications to plan/perform new or upgrades of IT infrastructure with new releases;
- Perform regular backup operations/ implement appropriate processes for data protection/disaster recovery/failover procedures;
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts to ensure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved with limited disruptions

Qualifications

- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are an asset
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent;
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools;

• Languages: Azerbaijani, English (desirable)
• Location: Sumqayıt;
• 5 day work week (09:00-18:00);
• Lunch/transport;
• Labor relations as per AR Labor Code;
