SOCAR Upstream LLC is looking for Senior Drilling Engineer position.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares drilling well design, in compliance with International Oil Companies policies and procedures.
• Performs drilling engineering and feasibility studies, cost evaluations, equipment and services evaluations in compliance with:
o International Oil Companies policy and procedures.
o All local and Ministry regulations.
• Involving in detailed drilling and side tracking programs for execution on the rig to deliver access to reserves.
• Control drilling activities within HSSE guidelines and within the specified time and budget to meet or exceed production target.
• Getting involved in cost estimating and cost control for drilling activities.
• Performs performance tracking and management to provide data for technical limits and for continuous improvement.
• Interacts with Drilling services providers and 3rd party equipment suppliers to ensure a high level of performance and technical integrity.
• Performs specification and evaluation of necessary equipment and services for drilling design and implementation.
• Perform post activity evaluation, knowledge management and transfer of best practices to embed lessons learnt in upcoming or future drilling activities to drive continuous improvement.
• Identification and implementation of appropriate new technologies, to improve the drilling of wells and lower project cost.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to HSSE in all activities.
• Provide engineering support during execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering
• Relative experience in International Oil Company for over 5 years
• Proficiency in Azeri, and English
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.
