Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation & Instrumentation QA/QC Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
Review quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and maintain a quality of materials.
Attend the weekly meetings with client and construction and discuss about the site condition and implement planning to improving construction activities according to specification.Prepration & implementation of ITP, QCP, Attend the Pre-Inspection meetings along with client and implement of ITP, QCP for final approval
Raise non-conformance reports for material and certification issues
Ensure that all equipment used are calibrated and with valid certificates
Review certification packs, vendor certification and manufacturing record books
Liaise with PSCM to resolve quality related issues
Review material certification requirements and specifications for Electrical & Instrumentation discipline
Familiar with the project specifications and all documentation associated with Electrical & Instrumentation equipment, e.g. procedures, datasheets, vendor documentation, maintenance and operation procedures and manuals
Perform receipt inspection of Electrical & Instrumentation equipment and issue Equipment Inspection Reports, and follow them up to satisfactory closure
Periodic Inspection and control of Electrical & Instrumentation work at site
Periodic Inspection and testing of cables, cable trays and conduits, junction boxes, distribution boards, lighting fixtures, earthing systems, lightning systems, cathodic protection, ups sytmes, switchgears, motors, transformers, transmitters, detectors, gauges etc that are installed at site
Perform inspection as per RFI, ITP, Project specifications & approved drawings
Control the work activities in accordance with approved drawing plans, work procedure and project’s specifications requirements
Co-ordinate & liaise with subcontractors, client and in-house resources;
Ensure contractors fully implement project requirements as defined in approved specifications and procedures, particularly on "Ex" certified equipment
Implement performance reviews, recommend areas for improvement
Participate in Inspection and Testing planning
Perform inspection of all ATEX equipment
Ensure Health & Safety Responsibilities are adhered to and understood
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering
+5 years of experience in the relevant field in the indsutrial construction projects
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, AutoCad is preferable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Desirable Certificates
Compex full details (EX01,EX02,EX03,EX04)
Hawke Gland and Termination certificate
