Summary and Purpose of Role:
Database Administrator (DBA) are generally responsible for the performance, integrity and security of databases. They are often also involved in planning, developing and troubleshooting of databases.
Areas of Responsibility Include:
Job Role Responsibilities:
Follow change management procedures
Ensuring data security and High Availability implementation (Data Guard)
Monitoring and Audit of Database users, Objects and Storage
Creation and Control of Database Security
Backup and recovery, RMAN
Installing, configuring and manage Oracle Cloud Control 12c, 13c monitoring systems
Application servers mirroring and Load Balancing configuration (Connection strings level)
Data Guard configuration and manage. Up to 13 standby servers
Implementing database migration
RMAN backup to TAPE, configuration and manage
Designing of database environment
Logical standby database configuration and manage
Configuration ASM, RAC with VMware ESXi;
Create and maintain policy of backup and recovery for business requirement.
Providing safe and smooth operation of the database on the SQL-based
Administration Oracle Linux 5, 6, 7, Centos 5, 6, 7, Red Hat 5, 6, 7;
Ensuring data security and High Availability implementation (Data Guard, RAC);
Partitioning, External Tables, Transportable Table spaces,
Import/Export/Data pump, Oracle Grid Control, ASM.
Creation and Control of Database Security (Audit Vault, Database Vault)

Qualifications/Skills
• Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Impeccable attention to detail
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
• OCA, OCP certifications preferred
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
