Bureau Veritas Azerbaijan is looking for Steel Structure / Welding Inspector.

Duration: Long Term
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Baku and Around Offshore/Onshore

Purpose: Monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings and project specifications.

Job Desription:

- Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
- Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
- Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the Project Manager.
- Maintains equipment and calibration.
- Follows Company Safety rules
- Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Self-perform quality control inspections of shop fabrication which includes fit-up, weld preparations and final welds.
- Record and maintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control.
- Inform foreman and QC Manager of defects on fabrication.
- Assist the Quality Control Manager.
- Coordinate work with production to identify required inspections.

Qualification:

Essential: CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or CWI or EN 9712 VT L2
5 years of related Experience
Coating/Painting and NDT related certificates are advantage.

Working Condition:  The position is considered site work.
