Job Title : Technical Sales Engineer

Purpose of Job :

The role of the Technical Sales Engineer is to grow sales of new equipment and after-market services for pumps, motors and valves.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
• Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
• Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
• Research and build relationships with new clients.
• Assist with bidding strategy.
• Work with workshop supervisors to prepare proposals and tenders.
• Participate in pricing the solution/service.
• Follow up on tender submittals and proposals to clients. Provide feedback to management on market competitiveness Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
• Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to support customer needs.
• Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
• Address all concerns related to the client.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
• Submit weekly activity reports and ensure data is accurate. Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system.
• Forecast sales targets .
• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
• Ensure that prerequisites (prequalification or vendor lists) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
• Benchmarking of competition, identify threats or challenges to company interests.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical selling role preferably in Oil & Gas Industry
• Solid experience in selling valves and rotating equipment is desirable.
• Experience in selling capital equipment.
• Experience in after-market sales.
• To communicate effectively in Azerbaijani and English. Russian is an asset.
