The International School of Azerbaijan (TISA) is announcing a vacancy for the position of Communications, External Relations and Publishing Coordinator.

Communications, External Relations and Publishing Coordinator reports to the Director and is responsible for developing and coordinating internal and external communications for TISA, administering TISA website (look and content), recommending and implementing marketing and branding strategies, creating digital and physical visual and interactive content, editing and coordinating publishing of internal materials with the staff responsible in those areas..

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the below listed responsibilities:

Communications and External Relations:

 Maintain and develop a communications and external relations plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
 Coordinate all external relations activities
 Direct social media activities to engage audiences across traditional and new media
 Leverage existing community relations and cultivate new contacts
 Formulate creative direction for a wide variety of marketing channels, leveraging best practices in digital communications content creation, creative direction and analytics
 Build external relations to grow community awareness in Azerbaijan and beyond.
 Maintain a keen understanding of educational trends affecting our stakeholders and make appropriate recommendations
 Attend activities outside of normal school hours as required
 Take an active role in organizing and coordinating whole-school events, including International Day, Festival of Languages, Novruz, Graduation and others.
 Work with TISA students to support student-led projects through school communications.
 Manage and coordinate emergency communications and maintain emergency communications contact list.

Maintaining Database:

 Liaise with IT Director and Admissions Coordinator to utilize school databases in order to maximize their effectiveness in communicating with parents, students and alumni.
 Work with Director, Principals, Admissions Coordinator, and Operations Manager as required.
 Prepare all external mailing lists, including segments of database for targeted communication as needed
 Work with mail merge functionality

School Publications:

 Coordinate the placement of all school coverage in print and electronic materials.
 Be responsible for editorial, design, production and distribution of all school content, materials and publications, including: video, photography, banners, emails, livestreams, campus screens, job fairs, TISA website, social
 media accounts, surveys, handbooks, open houses, yearbook, newsletters, etc.
 Project scheduling and management of production process for all digital and printed materials
 Management of vendors (printing companies, graphic designers), selection and purchasing process
 Ensure consistent, mission-driven art direction and design
 Ensuring school events are documented (video, photography, etc)
 There can be other responsibilities assigned from time to time if required

Skills required for the position:

 Exceptional writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging to various stakeholders.
 Strong project management abilities; comfortable working independently and in teams to create and meet deadlines; capable of developing and managing a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of projects at various stages of work
 Solid expertise in the development of graphic, print, visual and video content (for example with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar platform), including web and promotional materials
 Experience with marketing automation, social media and PR tools
 Strong consideration given for skills in vector design and web content management
 BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or a related discipline
