Simbrella is currently looking for Systems Engineer.

Systems Engineer is a part of Platform Development team that provide resolutions to technical issues across a wide scope of customers.

These are the technical skills that Systems Engineer will need to have:

• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016/2019)
• Managing deployments/rollouts
• Managing 50+ Windows Server infrastructure
• Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V
• Group Policy design and configuration
• Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration
• A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking
• LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q Trunks, 802.1X)
• HPE and Dell Blade and Rack Mounted Servers
• HPE, Dell and EMC Storage Systems
• iSCSI, SAS and Fiber Channel SAN connectivity
• Strong communication and documentation skills

The following are highly desirable:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
• Microsoft Certification (MCSE/MCITP Server) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional -CCNA/CCNP
• Managing decentralized and large-scale installations
• Experience in administration and configuration of Microsoft IIS
• Experience in Linux/UNIX administration
• Experience in Cloud IaaS, PaaS
• Experience with debugging tools (i.e. filemon, regmon, perfmon)
• Strong scripting capabilities utilizing bash, PowerShell, Batch, VBScript, etc..
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues including VPN related ones
• Experience in Optimization and Scalability
• Ability to work effectively both individually and on a team.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Strong design and problem-solving skills, documentation, requirements gathering and analysis
• Experience in infrastructure architecture designing
• Having sense of ownership and desire to fix problems you didn't cause
• Experience of working in aggressive scheduled timelines
• Adaptable communication skills, ability to talk to developers, support, business and PMs
• Experience in Hardware/Software vendors(partners) management
• Ability to travel

What Systems Engineer will do – Job description:

• Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
• Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
• Administer and support core, HPE, Cisco, Microsoft and VMware technologies
• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
• Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
• Define and document best practices and support procedures
• Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional night or weekend maintenance
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
• Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations
• Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
• Carry out special tasks at Management's direction
• Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
• Other duties as assigned
