Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is Azerbaijan’s national tourism organization. Our core tasks include the management of the "Holiday in Azerbaijan" brand, innovative marketing in the most internationally promising markets and the transfer of our knowledge of guests and markets to the domestic tourism industry. In this way we make an important contribution to the competitiveness of the holiday destination Azerbaijan.

Currently we are looking for experienced Industry Associations Manager (Turizm Assosiasiyaları ilə iş üzrə menecer) to join Industry and Destination Development Unit for formulation of Azerbaijan Mountain Guide Association. The successful candidate will work on establishment and development of Azerbaijan Mountain Guide Association by gathering all related stakeholders while assisting them to develop mountain guiding skills. Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Establishment and development of Azerbaijan Mountain Guide Association
• Coordination and support of stakeholders, private companies, individual mountain guides for development and assessment of guiding skills
• Maintaining the register of members, assisting the chairperson to prepare the agenda
• Supports operations and administration of Board by advising and informing Board members, interfacing between Board and staff, and supporting Board's evaluation of President
• Preparing works, organizing and coordinating overall tasks and ensuring sufficient information is available to Board members
• Directing the process of planning, prepare performance reports on achievement of goals and objectives
• Reviews the association by laws as well as its Policies and Procedures to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the association.
• Organizing a meeting and dealing with agenda items
• Representing the organization at all levels of the community
• Manages the incoming and outgoing correspondence for the association.
• Ensuring that the association adheres to its constitution and rules, making sure all letters and other documents are properly filed.
• manage the programs every day’s activities which involve the scope with the association missions.
• Subordinate in this way that he delivers the authority to supervise and control Boards together with the members and volunteers.
• Organize conferences and meeting, manage program implementation in local, regional or maybe international simply to compensate and featuring its missions.
• Develop and implement an engagement plan for network members, in collaboration with members
• Ensure maintenance of records, including updating contact information and tracking communications and activities to ensure continuity and long-term relationship management
• Maintain up-to-date overall activity calendar for engaging key audience targets, share and coordinate planning with other appropriate teams

Requirements:

• 2+years’ experience in a related field
• Good knowledge about mountain guiding, hiking, ecotourism, rural tourism and trekking activities
• Good knowledge and experience about mountains, rural areas of Azerbaijan
• To be able physically travel and climbing mountains and reach rural areas
• Communication and negotiating skills, including good command of Azerbaijani and English for both verbal and writing.
• Leadership and critical thinking
• Understanding and knowledge about hiking, trekking activities
• Experience in mountain guiding and camping
• Team Management, administering and coordinating groups of individuals by promoting teamwork
• Risk Management; predict and create solutions to issues
• Must be able to organize stakeholders, members and be able to manage group of people.
• Strong understanding of the political process; comfortable breaking complicated policies and procedures down for a lay audience
• Proven skill at building relationships to engender trust and influence cross-functionally in order to drive execution toward common goals
• Strong personal organization, time management and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and get work done under pressure; and a relentless dedication to follow-up
• Good judgement, initiative, and ability to anticipate problems and follow through with confidence
