EURO2020 LOGISTICS MANAGER - a unique work experience in a prestigious tournament as the European Championship.

Position overview:

• Responsible for early program planning through to Event delivery of the overall Logistics Functional Area Operating Plan (FAOP);
• Work with other departments;
• Develop the short term and medium term detailed plans to include people, procurement, budgeting and project management;
• Prepare venue bump in and bump out plans
• Work with logistics subcontractor to effectively implement logistics operations during bump in and bump out periods, as well as throughout the whole event time
• Manage the delivery, set-up and post-event collection of furniture; check and update the furniture inventory; management of damages and spares
• Support the Venue Management team with the venue handover and handback process, create an inventory of stadium materials (fixed and movable) in all spaces allocated to the tournament, and noting any damages; coordinate the damage reporting procedure throughout the tournament
• Supervise the delivery and use of the Venue Logistics fleet vehicles; sign for vehicles upon arrival; keep a log of any damages/missing parts from delivery to return; ensure all drivers have read, understood and signed the fleet policy and relevant documents
• Train the Venue Logistics Coordinators and participate in training the volunteers; compiling their respective schedules and monitoring their work
• Work closely with UEFA Broadcast Logistics team, based in the Broadcast Compound, and the UEFA Delivery & Warehouse team, based at the Logistics Point and Logistics Compound, with relevant staff services, deliveries and storage

Essential criteria:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field of study (Law). Higher education is plus for election.
• Full proficiency in English (both oral and written)
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and event databases
• 3+ years experience of working in a similar position
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Able to work accurately under pressure and remain calm in busy, potentially stressful, situations

Desirable criteria:

• Previous experience of working or volunteering in a multicultural business environment an advantage
• Confidence to take on own projects and supervise assistants and volunteers
• Able to quickly assimilate information from spreadsheets and tables
• Not deterred by a demanding workload
• Enjoys working as part of a team
• Commitment to the project and team for the entire period
